Community Outreach

Community involvement remains a priority of the District Attorney’s Office. From educating young people to participating in neighborhood meetings and senior citizen informational gatherings, our Office places a high value on interaction with all members of the Alameda County community.

With our “Ask the DA” series, we took to the streets of Alameda County to give people the opportunity to ask DA Price questions about public safety. You ask. She answers.

We reach out to the various school, religious and community groups through our Speakers Bureau. The bureau matches qualified speakers from our office to inform the community about various subjects, such as the aspects of the criminal justice system, victims’ rights, consumer protection and the role of the DA’s Office. Additionally, we also host regular community forums including the Fraud Forum series aimed at helping our senior community identify scams.

Drum Majors for Justice is an internship program for high school students ages 16 and up who are interested in studying law, justice, social justice, and the courts. This Academy will teach teens about the many facets of the justice system while encouraging critical thought and civic engagement.
